Winners of The Soil Association Organic Awards 2010 were announced last Sunday at the Natural and Organic Products Europe show in Olympia’s Pillar Hall.
Now in its fifteenth year the awards ceremony showcases the very best businesses in the organic market. A judging panel made up of industry professionals picked the winners, with the shortlist for the Organic Retail category decided by a public vote. The Best New Organic Food Product was voted for by visitors to the show’s New Product Showcase throughout the day.
To celebrate his work supporting the organic market, Director of the Soil Association Patrick Holden was awarded the coveted Natural Products Outstanding Achievement Award.
On receiving the award Patrick said, “I feel greatly honoured to have received this award. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the depth of gratitude I feel towards to all those with whom I have built friendships over the years in our shared work of promoting public trust in sustainable food and farming.”
